The Anevil foundation comes with the aid of improvement in healthcare and educational facilities to save lives. We are highly concerned and empathetic for the survival and basic needs of the community. We acknowledge the fact that the basic requirements and desire for endurance manipulate people to go overseas and in this practice most of them loose their lives.
We want to overcome this challenge with our maximum efforts. Our strives are oriented towards the supply of goods, healthcare assistance, and delivery of knowledge and education. We want to provide job opportunities to the community of Deux Baleines Nord, La Gonave.
Anevil foundation’s journey towards Building a Community is associated with LAUNAT ANEVIL’s personal experiences and observations. She built the foundation in the memory of her beloved father.
Launat Anevil was born in an Island called La Gonave in Haiti in a town named Deux Baleines Nord. Launat Anevil, the founder of Anevil Foundation, which provides healthcare, education to the people in the community of Deux Baleines Nord, and to reduce the risk of dying in the sea seeking for better life. Launat Anevil is a Registered Nurse for over 7 years. Before that, Lauant worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 17 years and she also worked for the school District of Palm Beach County for 7 years. Launat spent over 24 years doing public works. She is currently working as a Registered Nurse in public hospitals. Launat has passion for caring, teaching, and sharing. “I am for health ( mwen pou lasante)” Because of that, Launat wants to build a hospital in the Community of Deux Baleines Nord.
Launat is currently working on the process to turn Anevil Foundation into a nonprofit organization, She wants to obtain the 501c3 and to legalize the foundation in the state of Florida with the goal to raise funds to build a hospital that can render care for the entire lower parts of La Gonave. The people will Better their lives by searching for medical help when they are in need. Launat Noticed La Gonave has one hospital and some clinics, which are located in the city. Deux Baleines Nord is very far from the city and lack of healthcare, education, portable water, and nutrition. In Deux Baleines Nord, people are existing not living. The main reason Launat has decided to build the hospital is because father passed away in February 11, 2011, He passed away suddenly without medical assistance within minutes due to lack of oxygen. Launat had started nursing school in January 2011. After the burial of her father, Launat had started to think what should she do to making change in people’s life in Deux Baleines Nord and solving the problem. Launat said, “I’m going create a foundation in my father’s memory” Launat began feeding some elderly people and helping a few people paying for their education. In 2012, Launat had Started consulted some healthcare personals in Haiti to discuss the healthcare problem in the lower part of La Gonave.
Dr Pierre, Wilnique understood my concerns and responded by gathering Doctors, Nurses and medications to start doing mobile clinic in Deux Baleines Nord. The first mobile Clinic took place in 2013 and the second one in 2014. The Mobile clinic was conducted for 2 days. The mobile clinics never stopped. By faith, Launat has bought a piece of land in 2015; in the midst of her financial problem to build a hospital. November 1, 2020, Launat has decided to opened a small clinic with a mini pharmacy in her father’s house to start serving the community. people in community were suffering so much for he healthcare. She uses her own money to open the clinic. without asking for support. Launat pays for a full-time nurse and an on-call doctor to serving the communities. The clinic is a first and a success in the community. The clinic becomes a polyclinic, which receives and treats critical care patients at all ages including pregnant women; because there is no means of transportation to send critical patients to the only hospital in La Gonave. It is nearly 4 hours drive to go to the only hospital. Transportation is almost impracticable because of the rocky roads. The fee to transport someone is exaggerated. They cannot afford to pay for transportation and to pay the hospital costs. Some dies in the way before reach the hospital. Therefore, the small clinic treats burns, severe lacerations secondary of accidents, cuts due to falls and fights, and severe cardiovascular diseases cases etc…. There is a great need for a real hospital in the town to serve the forgotten people in the lower part of La Gonave.
A community hospital that will be saving lives and improving healthcare. Launat wants to educate the people how to better their lives and reduce the chance of dying in the sea when they go overseas to buy survival goods to resale. Launat wants to provide most survival goods to stop them from going away to buy them. Launat builds a a wholesale store that will supply the main products they usually go overseas to buy. Launat has lost her oldest brother, her cousins, and a very close friend in this practice. She wants to create jobs in the community as well to improve some people’s lives.
Launat has spent over 24 years working in nursing homes, home health aide, hospitals, and schools and has mastered the special gift of caring, teaching, and sharing. Launat has an Associate degree in education and an Associate degree in nursing. Launat wants to further her education in public health by going back to school to get a master’s degree in public health. Launat took care of elderly people in their homes and in nursing homes, translated and interpreted at schools in Palm Beach County for students who speak Creole and does home visits to speak with some parents, and participate in teacher/parents’ meetings. Launat is dedicating to public work and contributing to bettering lives. Launat supports students with their school fees and helps others who are in need.
Launat is a Christian she spends time going to church and church conventions out of states. She can be found decorating her house and she loves to travel and enjoys drawing/ painting, and crafting.
